Long time Deliverance crew member since the early days of Season One, Lulu has most definitely earned a place on main.

Our hard-working and long-suffering volly-bossbabe, sometime mentor and event boss, lu has stuck by me through thick and thin, and (along with my equally long-suffering wifey, Lea) bought  the women's touch that swung this thing around and pulled my head in for the better.

but enough about that - she's also got actual skills and a pedigree to prove it.  Throwing down as part of a Matriarch Recs mini-takeover in two parts!

Orthentix is a multifaceted artist, embracing the titles of music producer, writer, DJ, film producer, blogger, radio presenter and mother.

She crafts eclectic electronica, taking inspiration from bass genres including trip-hop, liquid drum and bass, dubstep and alt-pop.

Conceptually, her music delves into introspection mirroring the intricate human experience.

Sonically, she is all about phat basslines, lush melodies, and a profound vocal hook.

Politically, she is all about feminism, expressed throughout her music, DJ mixes, short film, and written works.

Her latest release Depthsword, a DnB dance track with a jungle vibe and an atmosphere of spirituality converging the street, has gained traction with 3.5K views on YouTube and over 2k streams on Spotify.

Orthentix's blend of academia, artistry, and feminism positions her as an influential figure in the music industry.

Having graced Australian stages, including Earth Frequency Festival, Newkind Festival, Nunyarra Cultural Festival and Roar Women's Music Festival, Orthentix's DJ performances captivate audiences with her effeminate sonic vibe, showcasing many female-produced tracks in her mixes.

As a DJ, she is versatile spinning anything from Dubstep, Liquid DnB, Garage, 90’sTrip-hop/Bigbeat, along with her Orthentix compositions of femme electronica.

Orthentix is one of the coordinators and resident DJs on the radio show Sista’s of Spin on BayFM and is signed to Matriarch Records.

She advocates inclusivity and diversity in the music industry and uses her platform to amplify marginalised voices and challenge gender norms.
